Prominent Jeweller, His Daughter Murdered In Their Amroha Home, Killers Slit Their Throats

Amroha, February 10 (TNA) A father-daughter duo was murdered at their home on Friday night, sending shock waves in the region. The incident came to light when friends of the deceased jeweller Yogesh Chandra Aggarwal-Rajniketan, Satish Arora, Atul Gupta and Vineet Chawla came to play table tennis on the terrace of his house at around 6 am on Saturday.

The police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The killers slit the throats of the two even as the son and daughter-in-law unaware of the unfolding tragedy slept in their bedroom.

The police sent the bodies for post-mortem and went through the CCTV installed nearby and have collected “some evidence”. The things kept in the house were in disarray. The deceased have been identified as Saraf Yogesh Chand Aggarwal (67) and his daughter Srishti (27), living in Mohalla Katra Ghulam Ali of Amroha Kotwali area.

A team of fingerprint experts have also collected evidence. DIG and SP inspected the spot. Yogesh Chand Agarwal was the district president of Udyog Vyapar Mandal and city president of Seva Bharti organization. He used to actively participate in social service-related works. His wife died several years ago. The family consisted of son Ishank Agarwal, daughter Srishti and daughter-in-law Mansi Agarwal.

Son Ishank Aggarwal runs a cardboard factory in Delhi. While daughter-in-law Mansi Aggarwal lives at home with her son. Ishank Aggarwal had come home on Thursday. The bodies of both were found lying on the floor of the house. There was blood on the clothes of both of them. After committing the crime, the murderers covered the faces of the father and daughter with a cloth. At present, five teams including SOG and Surveillance are busy unravelling the double-murder, an official said.
