Lucknow, April 30 (TNA) For all those worried about the rising mercury, the first week of May is likely to bring a whiff of cool air. Literally! This as the Met department has predicted rains in the coming days, beginning Sunday. According to the Weatherman, the state will witness moderate to heavy rains, strong winds and lightning in many parts for the next few days.

Along with this, yellow alert has also been issued for 60 districts of the state. It also includes districts like the state capital Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Noida, Ghaziabad. The minimum temperature on Sunday is expected to be 22 degrees and maximum 28 degrees, which is a drop of three degrees.

The maximum temperature in Lucknow on Saturday was 34.8 degrees Celsius, while it was 35.8 degrees Celsius on Friday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 22.3 degree Celsius with a partial drop of 0.1 degree. Weather is likely to be pleasant till May 5.
