Rape Accused Cop Commits Suicide, Records Video Before Death

Agra, February 16 (TNA) Police constable Jitendra Kumar committed suicide by hanging himself in Nagla Arjun (Mauja Samra) village of Khandauli, Agra on Tuesday night. He had come to his home as a case of misconduct was registered against him in Firozabad. Because of this he was upset. Before dying, he made a video on his mobile holding the girl and her family responsible for the suicide.

Originally, Jitendra Kumar, a resident of Rasagama Sahpau village of Hathras, was recruited as a constable in the jail police five months ago. He was posted in Baghpat Jail. In the video, he blamed the suicide of a young woman from village Nagla Nathe, Khairgarh (Firozabad) and her family members. The girl is his distant relative.

In the video, he said that the girl was pressurizing him for marriage. On refusal to marry, a case of rape was filed against him. On information, the police sent Jitendra Kumar's body for post-mortem. His mobile has also been seized by the police. He will be examined.
