Results Of Civic Body Polls In UP Tomorrow, Vote Count Amid Tight Security

Lucknow, May 12 (TNA) The much-anticipated vote counting of the civic body elections in Uttar Pradesh will take place on Saturday amid tight security, an official said today. All results are expected to be out by late evening.

Vote counting will be simultaneously take place for 17 municipal corporations, 199 municipalities and 544 Nagar Panchayats.

Counting will begin at 8 am for which heavy security deployment has been done. Voting for civic body elections took place in two phases in UP. Results of UP's 2 assembly by-elections will also come tomorrow. This include

Rampur's Swar, Mirzapur's Chanbe seat. Bypolls for Swar in Rampur took place after the icumbent legislator, Samajwadi Party’s Abdullah Azam Khan was disqualified. SP's Anuradha Chauhan is the candidate from Swar seat and Apna Dal, a BJP ally has fielded SK Shafiq Ahmed Ansari.

The Chanbe seat fell vacant after the death of Rahul Kol., Kirti Kol of Apna Dal (S) is the candidate from Chanbe seat while the SP has fielded Rinke Kol from Chanbe seat.
