Retired IPS Officer Rajesh Pandey Appointed Nodal Security Officer Of UPEIDA, Poorvanchal Expressway

Lucknow, Nov 8 (TNA) Retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Rajesh Kumar Pandey has been appointed by the Uttar Pradesh government as the nodal security officer of UPEDA along with its ambitious project Purvanchal Expressway. He has since taken charge of the new assignment, an official said on Monday.

A specialist in takling on organised crime, Pandey had earned a special place for himself in the late 90’s and early 2000 for being part of several operations agaiinst the mafiosi by the Special Task Force (STF) of the UP Police. The state government is preparing a security plan of international standard for the Purvanchal Expressway.
