New Delhi/Lucknow, January 19 (TNA) In a big blow to the Samajwadi Party (SP), Aparna Yadav, the younger daughter-in-law of party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday.

She was welcomed into the saffron camp at the party headquarters in New Delhi by state unit chief Swatantra Dev Singh and deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Soon after joining, the young leader said that she has always been impressed by prime minister Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and had always kept nation first. She added that she would do all that was possible within her power to work for the BJP.

Maurya, while inducting her in the party took a potshot at Akhilesh Yadav and said it was clear now that the SP chief had failed as a chief minister, as an MP and also as a family man.
