Sawan Celebrations in Agra: Devotees Flock to Shiva Temples

Agra, July 23 (TNA) On the auspicious occasion of the first Monday of Sawan, a massive congregation of devoted worshippers descended upon the Shiva temples in Agra. From the stroke of midnight, a lengthy line of devotees queued up to offer water to Lord Shiva, exemplifying their reverence and devotion.

Agra boasts renowned Shiva temples in all four directions, where fairs are held on each of the four Mondays of Sawan. Today, a vibrant fair marked the first Monday at the Rajeshwar temple located at Rajpur Chungi, adding to the festive fervor in the city.
