School Principal Suspended, Cooks Sacked In Mainpuri For Serving Food To SC Students In Separate Utensils

Mainpuri, Sep 25 (TNA) The principal of a government school and the cook working there have been suspended after it was discovered that the Scheduled Caste (SC) students in the school were being fed in seperate utensils owing to their caste.

After investigation on the complaint of the husband of the village head, the CDO has taken major action in this matter. The incident took place with stduents at the primary school in Daudapur of Bewar's development block of Mainpuri.

On the complaint of the village head's husband, the CDO reached the school and inquired about the whole matter. When the complaint was corraborated, the CDO suspended the headmistress for dereliction of duty and the cook was sacked with immediate effect. The BSA also reprimanded the headmistress on the poor quality of mid day meal and instructed to improve the work. Video of this case has also gone viral.

Some locals however have contested the suspension and sided with the head mistress Garima Rajput who they said reachee the school every day and gets the teaching work done in a ncie manner.

It is not the headmistress's fault in keeping the utensils separate, they told the officials. Villagers including Gajendra Pratap Singh, Gajraj Singh, Praveen Kumar told that the school staff are being harassed unnecessarily by the village head Manju Devi.
