Security Agencies Alerted After Yogi Adityanath Gets Threat To Life On SMS

Lucknow, April 25 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has received a death threat on phone, a police official told media persons in the state capital on Tuesday. Following this threat on Dial 112, the message has been passed on to the concerned security agencies, including the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) of the UP Police.

According to an FIR lodged in thie regard, on April 23, the threatening message was received on 8:22 pm from a number XXXXXX0148. All it said was : Yogi CM ko Maar dunga jald hi”. The message has sent the security agencies in a tailspin and they have stepped up vigil. Due to his strict law enforcement measures, officials say, CM has been on target of criminals and mafias.

After the recent killings of don brothers Atique Ahmed and Ashraf, an assesment of his security cover was initiated last week. The monk-turned-politician enjoys Z-plus security cover, which is the highest given to select politicians of the country.
