Security Arrangements In Place For Smooth Passage of Eid-ul-Fitr: UP Police

Lucknow, May 2 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday said that all security arrangements are in place for the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr festival falling on Tuesday. Detailed guidelines in this regard have been sent to all the districts by the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters, an official informed.

This year, a total of 31,151 places including 7436 Idgahs and 19,949 mosques will offer Namaz. On the basis of sensitivity, 2846 places have been identified where instructions have been given to ensure special police arrangements.

So far, 29,808 meetings have been held by the Uttar Pradesh Police for talks with religious leaders regarding Eid and on the basis of consent, 60,150 loudspeakers have been removed and 60,178 loudspeakers have been reduced.

In connection with the successful completion of Eid-ul-Fitr festival, 46 companies PAC, 07 CAPF companies and 04 Deputy Superintendents of Police have been allotted to different districts from the headquarter level.

Districts have been directed to ensure smooth arrangement of water, sanitation and electricity by holding meetings with the officials of the Electricity Department, Water Department, Municipal Corporation on this occasion, prohibition of movement of stray animals during Namaz. Go and establish constant coordination.

All the districts have been told to take care not to start any new tradition, while giving instructions to celebrate Eidkatyahar according to the festival register. Instructions have been given to conduct intensive police patrolling around all mosques and Idgahs from the eve of Eid so that no objectionable acts can be done by undesirable elements.

Apart from this, instructions have also been given regarding keeping the sound of sound-amplifying devices installed at religious places as per rules. While reviewing all the controversies/incidents that have come to light in the past years, necessary police arrangements have been made keeping a watchful eye on sensitive places.

By activating the social media cells of the Headquarters and the districts, directions have been given to keep a watchful eye on various social media platforms for 24 hours so that any rumor can be refuted and the spread of objectionable facts can be stopped.
