Senior Journalist, Bureau Chief of TV9 Bharatvarsh Umesh Pathak Passes Away

Lucknow, January 21 (TNA) The media world in Lucknow was plunged into mourning for the second time this week as senior journalist Umesh Pathak passed away untimely at the SGPGI in the state capital on Saturday. Only a few days back senior photo-journalist SM Pari had died of brain tumour. Both journalists were roughly of the same age, in their early fifties.

Pathak was Bureau Chief with TV9 Bharatvarsh news channel and had a good body of work in the past. A close friend informed TNA that he had been down with fever fo the past fortnight and had subsequently developed some problems with the lungs. His body is being taken for the last rites to his native place in Ayodhya.

Senior scribes, journalist associations, bureaucrats and politicians have mourned the passing away of Pathak and recalled his stint as a fine and hard-working journalist.
