Seven IPS Officials Including IG Varanasi Transferred In UP

Lucknow, January 6 (TNA) In a late night rejig, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred seven officials of the Indian Police Service (IPS). Those transferred include two IG’s - SK Bhagat, the IG of Varanasi who has been shifted to Banda in the same capacity and K Satyanarayn, the IG of Banda has swapped the posting with Bhagat.

Ravi Shankar Chavi, DIG Women Power Line 1090 has beens ent to Prisons as DIG while Sujata Singh; SP Bahraich has been named the new SP of 1090. Keshav Kumar Chowdhary, the SP Kanpur rural has been sent to Bahraich as new SP while Swapnil Mamgai has been sent to Kanpur as SP rural from his present posting as SP EOW.

Somendra Meena, ACP, Kanpur Commissionerate has been sent to Agra as SP (East) rural.
