Seven Killed, 40 Injured As Bus Collides With Truck Head On In Ayodhya

Lucknow, April 22 (TNA) In a tragic road accident in the holy town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, seven passengers of a bus were killed when it rammed head on into a speeding truck coming from the other side. 40 people have sutained serious injuries and have been admitted to different medical facilities for treatment.

The accident happened at the Lucknow-Gorakhpur national highway and the bus was headed from Ayodhya to Ambdkarnagar, a polcie official informed.

Chiief minister Yogi Adityanath has mourned the loss of lives in the road accident and has directed the district officials to ensure prompt rescue and relief and adequate medical attention to those who have been injured in the mishap.
