Sharp Shooters Wanted In Killing Of BJP Leader Arrested In Varanasi

Varanasi, December 29 (TNA) Two shooters of Munna Bajrangi gang, wanted in the murder of BJP leader in Jharkhand, were arrested by UP STF on Wednesday. Bharatiya Janata Party ST Morcha Rural Ranchi district president Jitram Munda was shot dead on September 22 this year.

The shooter duo belongs to the Munna Bajrangi gang. A car of Jaunpur number used in the murder has been recovered from their possession. The arrests were made by a team lead by Inspector Puneet Parihar, Inspector Anil Kumar Singh of STF Varanasi unit. Both the wanted were nabbed near Nadesar Mint House.

According to Vinod Kumar Singh, deputy SP of STF Varanasi unit, Jharkhand Police had informed that Ajit Pratap Singh alias Lallan Singh and Rajiv Kumar Singh, wanted in the murder of BJP leader Jitram Munda, are likely to be in Varanasi or Jaunpur. After this information, Ranchi Police and STF Varanasi Unit started investigation.
