Shivpal Singh Yadav’s Security Downgraded To “Y’ From “Z” Category

Lucknow, Nov 28 (TNA) In a significant development in midst of the Mainpuri bypolls, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday ordered the downgrading of the security cover of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) president Shivpal Singh Yadav. The Jaswantnagar has since joined ranks with his enstranged nephew and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav in the run up to the Lok Sabha by polls of Mainpuri where Dimple Yadav is contesting on a SP ticket.

In a letter issued by Vaibhav Krishna, SP (Admn and Security), it has been communicated to Commissioner of Police, Lucknow and SSP Etawah that following a state level review of the threat perception to Shivpal Singh Yadav done at a meeting on Novemeber 25, it was decided that instead of the Z security cover he recently enjoys, his security cover be downgraded to Y category.
