Son Of Senior Lucknow Cop Dies After Being Hit By Speeding Car In Gomtinagar
Lucknow, November 21 (TNA) A senior police official lost her young son in a road mishap in the state capital on Tuesday. The 12-year-old Naimish Srivastava, son of ASP Shweta Srivastava, was skating near Janeshwar Mishra Park in the capital Lucknow when he was hit by a speeding car in the morning. The innocent child died on the spot.
At the time of the accident he was returning home from work with his mother. After the accident, the driver fled from the spot with the car. The deceased was the lone son of Srivastava. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for autopsy.
Shweta Srivastava, presently posted in EOW, has been posted for a long time in the Lucknow Commissionerate.
She was also posted as CO Gomti Nagar before becoming Additional SP, Lucknow. Gomtinagar Extension Inspector Sudhir Awasthi said that when Namish was returning home after practicing, he was hit by a white car on Pipraghat Road. Efforts are being made to trace the car with the help of CCTV footage, he added. According to the information, Namish used to go skating daily with his personal coach.
