SP Jolted As Party Veteran And MLC Shatrudra Prakash Switches Sides, Joins BJP

Lucknow, December 31 (TNA) On the last day of the year, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rendered a body blow to the Samajwadi Party (SP) as a senior socialist and a sitting Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), Shatrudra Prakash joined the saffron camp.

He joined the party in presence of BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh and party veteran Laxmikant Vajpai. After taking membership of BJP, Shatrudra Prakash said that we did politics of non-Congressism from the beginning. Today, on the death anniversary of Rajnarayan ji, I am joining BJP to pursue the same.

He added how earlier the districts of Purvanchal were identified with mafia but today it is not so. He also heaped praise on the prime minister Narendra Modi and state chief minister Yogi Adityanath for the “wonderful work done in KAshi Vishwanath area”. This wonderful work will be remembered for generations to come, he added.
