SP MLA Puja Pal Consoles Family Of Close Aide Umesh Pal Murdered Yesterday, Expresses Fear For Her Own Life Too

Prayagraj, february 25 (TNA) Samajwadi Party (SP) legislator Puja Pal on Saturday met the bereaved family of Umesh Pal, the advocate and prime witness in her husband Raju Pal’s murder case, and consoled them.

Talking to media persons later, Pal said this was no time for politics and that she was here as a family member and added that she would do all possible to help the family of Umesh pal in these testing times as also in future.

She also said that she wanted to come to Prayagraj to be by the side of Pal’s family on Friday only but the CBI had asked her not to move without proper security. “But I could not hold myself back and I am here” she said while also expressing fear for her life and that of other witnesses.

Puja Pal, wife of former BSP MLA Raju Pal and SP MLA from Kaushambi's Chail, said she has been seeking protection and security from the state government for some time now but nothing much has happened. She also said that now that the trial of her late husband was in the final stages it was time that the state immediately provide them with adequate security.
