State Capital Region Development Authority To Be Formed On Lines Of NCR, Lucknow To Be Headquarter

Lucknow, Sep 30 (TNA) On the lines of Delhi NCR, State Capital Region Development Authority is going to be formed in UP. Its headquarters will be Lucknow and it will include the districts around Lucknow. Instructions to the same were given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath who reviewed the Housing and Urban Planning Department on Friday.

During this, he gave instructions for formation of State Capital Region Development Authority (SCRDA) as soon as possible. While directing the officers present in the meeting, he said that they should submit the action plan of SCRDA within three months. The Chief Minister said that Lucknow, Unnao, Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Sitapur and Barabanki should be included in SCRDA.

Lucknow will headquarter SCRDA and regional offices will be opened in other districts for the convenience of the citizens. In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the SCRDA plan should be prepared under the supervision of a senior officer. After Jhansi Industrial Development Authority, SCRDA will be the model of planned urban development in the state.

The Chief Minister said that urban development should be planned keeping in mind the needs of the next hundred years. He stressed that whatever plans are prepared for urban development, their basis should be investment and employment.

Yogi also said that the master plan being prepared for 59 cities under the Amrit Yojana should be sent to the government for approval by September 30. He said that for the first time master plan is being prepared in Shamli, Baraut, Chandausi, Gonda and Amroha, it should be expedited. A master plan by integrating Loni and Modi Nagar into Ghaziabad is also to be prepared.
