Stockpiled Fire Crackers Catch Fire In Kushinagar District of UP, Four Killed
LUCKNOW || Four people were killed in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday after a godown of firecrackers caught fire, local police said.
Three persons were charred to death on the spot in the inferno while a critically injured passed away on way to a medical facility where he was being taken for treatment.
The incident took place in the Kaptanganj town. The dead included two woman, a man and a 14-year-old girl.
SP Vinod Kumar Singh taking note of the possible lapses that allowed illegal stockpiling go the fire crackers in a residential area, has ordered a probe and suspended station house officer Ritesh Kumar Singh and three others for callousness in duty.
The deceased have been identified as Javed (35), Fatima (55) and Nazia (14). Fourth person is yet to be identified.
