Student Scuffle In Prayagraj’s Katra Locality, Bombs Hurled And Bullets Fired
Prayagraj, January 23 (TNA) Katra locality of the city was rocked on Sunday night with noises of gun shots and bombs after a bitter brawl between Class 12 students of Boys High School. 35-40 attackers who came in four cars and five motorcycles climbed the house of Tauqeer, a student living in Katra, hurled bombs and opened fire.
Three students have been injured in this although any complaint was not given till late night to the police, an official informed. Irshad, who lives near GGIC in Katra, is a contractor. His son is a 12th student in BHS. On Sunday evening, a Farewell party was organized by Tauqeer and the students of his class at Hotel Millennium Inn, Civil Lines.
Awards like Most Popular and Godfather were also kept here. Out of this, Godfather Award went to Tauqeer, which was opposed by another student of Class 12, a resident of Bailey. About which there was a dispute. It is alleged that the student resident of Bailey informed this to his maternal uncle, then he reached with some of his people and started arguing. During this, the security personnel of the hotel pacified the dispute by taking them out.
Tauqeer reached home with his three friends after the party got over at around 9 pm. It is alleged that during this time the people who were already there ambushed them and 35-40 other youths attacked them.
They started beating him with kicks and punches. When he ran away after saving his life, they started hurling bombs and firing bullets. This spread panic in the area. When there was an outcry, the people of the locality chased the goons, on which the attackers fled. On information, the police of Colonelganj police station reached the crime scene.
