Swachh Survekshan 2023: President Draupadi Murmu To Honour Varanasi And Prayagraj Municipal Bodies

Lucknow, January 7 (TNA) Varanasi and Prayagraj Municipal Corporation have been selected for the national award. Both these cities will be honored by the President at the award ceremony on January 11 in Delhi. This honor is being given for good work in Swachh Survekshan 2023.

Varanasi Municipal Corporation has been selected for the National Award for its better work in Swachh Survekshan 2023. This award will be given by President Draupadi Murmu on January 11 in New Delhi. The ranking of the survey will be announced on January 11 only. Last year the district's ranking in the Swachh Survekshan was 21. This time it is expected to be in the top ten.

The survey was conducted last year by the Central Government on meeting the standards of cleanliness in Swachh Survekshan 2023. On this basis, the National Award (Swachh Survekshan 2023 Award Ceremony) was announced. Two municipal corporations of Uttar Pradesh have been selected for this national award. This includes Municipal Corporations Varanasi and Prayagraj.

The letter regarding the announcement of this award has been sent by Rupa Mishra, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Housing and Works, on Friday.
