Textile Trader Shot Dead In Lucknow

Lucknow, July 26 (TNA) A textile trader was shot dead in cold blood in the state capital late on Monday night, police said. The 30-year-old Mahendra Maurya (30) was shot dead in Thakurganj.

The first bullet fired by the assailants hit the foot of the deceased but the next two proved fatal as they hit his chest and stomach. When Mahendra's family came out after hearing the sound of firing at some distance from the house, they were shocked to see him lying in a pool of blood.

Amidst the chaos, Mahendra was taken to trauma where doctors declared him brought dead. Police has sent the body for post-mortem and is looking for the assailants after the family informed them of their apprehension of involvement of some people.
