Toxic Air: All Construction Work Halted In Greater Noida For Four Days
Noida, Nov 17 (TNA) In Greater Noida, there will be no residential, commercial, IT, institutional, builder projects, re-surfacing of roads, construction of new roads etc. for the next four days, an official said.
In view of the increasing pollution in NCR, the Greater Noida Authority has banned all types of construction work, RMC, hot mix plants and use of diesel generators for the next four days. The authority has taken this step on the instructions of the Air Quality Management Commission set up to monitor air pollution in NCR.
An order says that residential, commercial, IT, institutional, builder projects, re-surfacing of roads, construction of new roads etc. will not happen for the next four days. During this, instructions have been given to keep the construction materials covered.
Wherever there is a possibility of dust flying, anti-smog guns will be used. There is also an order on the immediate closure of hot mix and RMC plants, use of diesel generators in hotels or dhabas. For disobeying these orders, instructions were given to take strict action as per the rules of NGT.
