Travel On Purvanchal And Agra-Lucknow Expressway To Get Expensive From April 1
Lucknow, March 30 (TNA) Traveling on the Purvanchal and Agra-Lucknow Expressway will is all set to get more expensive. From April 1, vehicles ranging from light motor vehicles to commercial and large-sized vehicles will have to pay toll ranging from 0.1 percent to 2.9 percent more than the current rate for plying on both these expressways.
In the 81st board meeting of UPEDA held at Lok Bhawan Auditorium on Wednesday under the chairmanship of IIDC Manoj Kumar Singh, the Board of Directors approved the proposal of revised rates. According to the revised rates fixed for the Purvanchal Expressway in the board meeting for the next financial year, the toll rate for light motor vehicle will be Rs 685 while for light commercial vehicle the rate has been fixed at Rs 1090.
The toll rate for a bus or truck has been fixed at Rs 2195, for heavy construction machinery Rs 3365 and for oversize vehicles at Rs 4305. Whereas, for Agra-Lucknow Expressway, toll rates for light motor vehicle, light commercial vehicle, bus or truck, heavy construction machinery and large size vehicle have been fixed at Rs 655, Rs 1035, Rs 2075, Rs 3170 and Rs 4070 respectively.
