Trio Robs Bank In Amethi, Shoots At Staffer But Escape Foiled By Villagers

Amethi, August 7 (TNA) Miscreants riding a bike robbed a bank in Bikhipur market of Musafirkhana area, police said. They robbed the Bank of Baroda (BoB) branch of Rs 54,000 and shit a bank employee and then tried to escape after firing shots in the air. Locals and passersby immediately sensed trouble and intercepted the bike.

They overpowered the miscreants and bashed them up. The trio waslater handed over to the police which has booked them for the loot under provisions in the law. The injured banker has been admitted to a medical facility where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

In Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday, thugs riding bikes who came to rob cash in Bhikhipur market of Musafirkhana area shot the Bank of Baroda (BOB) franchise operator and looted Rs 54,000. Hearing the sound of the bullet, the villagers rushed to the spot, ran and grabbed the miscreants and beat them severely.

After the beating, the villagers handed over the miscreants to the police. Meanwhile, the injured bank operator has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. The police have arrested the three miscreants.
