Twitter Handle Of UP Government Hacked, DIPR Fact Check Handle Also Compromised

Lucknow, April 12 (TNA) Days after the Twitter handle of the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s office was briefly hacked, various departmental handles of the state came under cyber attack on Monday.

Handles of UP Information and Public Relations (DIPR) fact check and the state government’s handle - Government of UP, were hacked on Monday morning and hundreds of messages sent to the followers.

A government spokesman admitted that the handles had been compromised and said that a team was looking into the matter urgently. A cyber probe is already under way into the “brief compromise” of the handle of the chief minister last week.
