Two Accused Of Kidnapping And Killing A Farmer Shot And Arrested After Encounter With Prayagraj Police

Prayagraj, May 4 (TNA) Three accused of murder of farmer Lalmani Patel (32), who was kidnapped from a wedding ceremony in Tharwai, were arrested after an encounter on Friday night. Two of them, Ajay Patel and Dilip Patel, were injured in the gun battle with the cops and have been admitted to SRN Hospital.

Apart from the Etios car used in the incident, two pistols and cartridges have also been recovered from their possession. The police were busy interrogating the third accused arrested till late at night. DCP Ganganagar Abhishek Bharti said that the police were engaged in checking near Malak culvert in Tharvai on Friday night when some people were seen coming in a car.

When signalled to stop, they increased the speed of the car and started firing. When the police team intercepted the car and stopped it, three youth in it got down and started running away. They also fired at the police team. In retaliatory firing, two miscreants were shot in the legs and fell on the ground. The accused during interrogation revealed his name as Vikas Pasi, resident of Ismailganj Tikri.
