Two Criminals Who Killed An Elderly Man Injured In Gun Battle With Varanasi Police

Varanasi, Oct 16 (TNA) A firece gun battle between criminals and the Varanasi Police in the wee hours of Sunday left two miscreants injured, an official said. The injured miscreants were sent in custody to a medical facility for treatment.

The encounter took place between the police and miscreants in the area behind DRM office Lahartara. Both the miscreants are the killers of an elderly person in Jaiprakash Nagar of Sigra police station. The criminal duo has been identified as Rahul and Pawan.

There are earlier criminal cases registered against Rahul in the police station Sigra. Both these criminals are members of 307 gang. The Varanasi Commissionerate Police was continuously tracking the killers and encounter was a joint operation of Sigra Police and Crime Branch, police commissioner A Satish Ganesh informed TNA.
