Jhansi/Lucknow, April 13 (TNA) The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police has recovered two foreign-made weapons from Asad and Mohd Ghulam, the two accused of Umesh Pal murder case, who were killed in an encounter in Jhansi on Thursday afternoon.

ADG (STF) Amitabh Yash informed media persons that a British Bulldog revolver and a Walther P-88 pistol were recovered from the duo when the gun battle took place in Badagaon area of Jhansi.

The British Bull Dog is a popular type of solid-frame pocket revolver introduced by Philip Webley in 1872, and subsequently copied by gunmakers in continental Europe and the United States. It features a 2.5-inch (64 mm) barrel and was chambered for .442 Webley or .450 Adams cartridges, with a five-round cylinder.

The Walther P88 is a semiautomatic pistol developed by German company Walther. Its main feature is a high-capacity double-stacked magazine designed for military and law enforcement use. The P88 was succeeded by the Walther P99 in 1997.

A 12-member STF team headed by two deputy SP’s led the operation against Asad and Mohd Ghulam, the two criminals who were caught on CCTV shooting at Umesh Pal openly, without fear.
