Two Girls Drown While Bathing At Sangam In Prayagraj

Prayagraj, December 19 (TNA) Three girls, who were taking bath on Monday at Sangam in Prayagraj, went into deep water and drowned, police said. The water police deployed on the spot showed promptness and saved a teenage girl but two girls could not be saved.

After the search operation that lasted for about 3 hours, the dead bodies of Priyanka and Preeti were recovered. The police sent the bodies of both of them to the mortuary for post-mortem.

The deceased Priyanka was 22 while Preeti was 18. The girl who was saved is 20-years-old. Inspector Water Police Janardan Sahni said that the Water Police personnel were stopping all three from crossing the jetty and going towards deep water but they paid no heed.
