Two Kids Killed By A Neighbour In Badayun, Accused Shot Dead In Police Encounter

Badayun, March 20 (TNA) Tension gripped the town late on Tuesday after the bodies of two young boys were discovered. Their throats had been slit. People took to the streets in large numbers and set on fire some wooden kiosks on the roads. A heavy police force was soon summoned to control the angry mob.

In Baba Colony of Badayun, UP, just five hundred meters away from Mandi Samiti police post, at around 8 pm on Tuesday, two sons of contractor Vinod Thakur, Ayush (13), Ahaan alias Honey (6), were hacked to death with a sharp weapon. The third son Piyush (8) was also slightly injured. He was taken to the hospital. The accused belongs to another community. SSP Alok Priyadarshi said that the main accused Sajid had been killed in a police encounter. The other two accused are on the run and police is on a lookout for them.

Vinod's wife Sangeeta and all three children were at home. In front of Vinod's house, there is a hair-cutting shop of Sajid, a resident of Sakhanu town of Alapur police station area. Sangeeta runs a beauty parlour downstairs from her house.

Sajid had closed his shop at four in the evening and left. When Sajid came with his two friends at eight o'clock in the night, Sangeeta went inside to make tea for him, by then Sajid and his companions went towards the third floor of the house.

Meanwhile, Sajid took two children Ayush and Ahaan upstairs with him. Told Piyush to come up with water. By the time he reached upstairs with water, Sajid killed two children with a sharp weapon. Third, Piyush was attacked with a knife. He came down screaming. When the mother saw it, she raised an alarm and people nearby came. Took the mother and son out. When the gate was closed, two accused were outside and they ran away. The main accused Sajid was killed by the police in an encounter.
