Two Killed As Under-construction Apartment Collapses On Labour Huts In Lucknow

Lucknow, Sep 29 (TNA) Two persons, including a 35-year-old man and an infant were killed in the state capital late on Thursday after an under-construction building collapsed and buried five hutments of the labourers working there, police said.

Twelve persons were buried under the rubble, of which all have been pulled out by 2 am, it was further informed. A part of the under-construction apartment suddenly collapsed near Kalindi Park in Sector-12 area of PGI in Lucknow at around 11:30 pm on Thursday night.

12 people were buried under the debris after five huts of laborers were hit by it. Police, fire brigade and SDRF teams somehow rescued everyone from the debris till late night and admitted them to Trauma-2.

The deceased have been identified as Pratapgarh resident Mukadam (35) and his two-month-old daughter Ayesha. ADCP East Ali Abbas said that an apartment named Antriksh Abril Green is being constructed and that many laborers had built five huts on the adjacent road where they were living with their families.
