Two Killed On Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway As Pickup Hits Tree After Striking Down Bike

Barabanki, February 26 (TNA) A Pickup collided with tree after hitting a bike killing two persons early Monday, police said. The road accident took place in Safdarganj police station area on the busy Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway. According to the police, at around 3 am on Monday, a picup going towards Ayodhya hit a bike on the highway near Pyarepur Saraiya village and then hit a tree.

While the bike rider died in this accident, the picup driver also lost his life. The bike rider has been identified as Manoj (30), resident of Godari village of Safdarganj police station area. Efforts are being made to identify the pickup driver. Safdarganj SHO Sudhir Kumar Singh said that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
