Two Newspaper Hawkers Run Over By Speeding Vehicle In Varanasi, Another Critical

Varanasi, April 13 (TNA) Two persons were killed and another critically injured when a speeding vehicle mowed them down in Dhankwa village of Chaubepur area, police said. The trio were hawkers and were out to distribute the morning newspapers. Angry locals jammed vehicular traffic for some time. Police pacified them and brought the traffic movement to normalcy.

The deceased hawkers have been identified as Sanjiv Kumar (35) and Shail Kumar (34). Pramod Kumar (32) who has been critically injured is being treated at a medical facility. The locals had jammed the Varanasi-Ghazipur demanding immediate arrest of the car driver and financial assistance to the families of the deceased.
