UIDAI To Make Aadhaar Of Prisoners Lodged In 71 UP Prisons, Campaign Started From Lucknow Jail

Lucknow, March 22 (TNA) The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a campaign to make the Aadhar cards of prisoners lodged in the 71 jails of Uttar Pradesh, an offcial said. UIDAI officials say that the formal launch of the campaign was started at Adarsh Jail, Nari Bandi Niketan and District Jail in Lucknow from March 20.

Now special camps will be organized in 71 jails of 64 districts for making and updating Aadhaar cards under this campaign. This campaign of UIDAI will run in jails till March 31. Work will be done to create and update a new base for more than 15,000 prisoners.

It has already started in many places. During this, enrollment of about 13500 prisoners for new Aadhaar and Aadhaar of about 2100 prisoners will be updated through special camps.
