UP Chief Minister’s Twitter Account Hacked, Restored After An Hour
Lucknow, April 9 (TNA) Twitter account of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi's office was hacked late on Friday, creating a stor amongst officials. Many tweets tagging thousands of people were sent and the picture in the profile was changed. After this, the screenshot of the Twitter handle named Bluebadger was shared in gif format. The tweet with this screenshot was also pinned to the profile so that it appears at the top.
According to the information, this account of CMO was hacked around 12.30 am. This error remained like this for about 40 minutes and at 1.10 minutes the account was restored again. However, no official statement has come in this matter yet.
The tweet that was pinned by the hacker who hacked the account provided information about a tutorial for creating an animated picture. Along with this a three-step process was also told. A link to this was also given. The profile bio of the Chief Minister's Office was also changed. In this, the CMO was described as the co-founder of the board app YC and Yuga Labs.
In this the metaverse was visible in the location. Apart from this, instead of the website of the Chief Minister's Office, bayc-animator.com was seen written. However this link was not working. As soon as the Chief Minister's Office came to know about the hack of the Twitter account, the exercise to restore it started. However, it took more than an hour and a half to fix it. A government spokesman said nothing beyond that “the handle has been restored.”
Twitter users came to know about the hacking of the account of UP CMO, people started taking screenshots. Along with this, tagging organizations like UP Police, NIA, Cyber Dost, UP Government, Central Government, Twitter India started sharing these screenshots.
