UP Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra Gets Third Service Extension, Was To Retire Today
Lucknow, December 31 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh top bureaucrat, Durga Shankar Mishra had been given another extension for six months. He had attended the program in Ayodhya on Saturday and sources say on that very day, his service extension file was sought from Delhi and by evening the order for extension also came.
The Central Government has given another six months' service extension to Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra. His second service extension was ending on December 31, before that the state government had received the order for the third service extension.
According to the order issued by the Central Personnel and Training Department, Durga Shankar will continue on this post till June 30, 2024. Earlier, after retirement, he had received extension of one year each in the year 2021 and 2022. He is the first IAS officer of UP cadre to get service extension of two-and-a-half years.
