UP CM Directs SGPGI, KGMU, RML Institute of Medical Sciences To Use Their Full Capacity In Treating COVID Patients

LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to conduct the door-to-door survey work with full sincerity. For this, the additional teams may be deployed if required. He said that the testings and contact tracing are important components of Covid-19 control hence should be taken up in an expeditious manner.

Presiding over a high-level unlock review meeting at Lok Bhawan on Saturday, he said that all the medical equipments including ventilators should remain functional in all the Covid hospitals. The hospitals must have at least 48-hour oxygen backup.

He directed to the Additional Chief Secretary, Health and the Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development and Panchyati Raj to hold meeting with the DM, CMO, CDO and Nagar Aayukt of Lucknow to prepare an effective action plan to control the spread of Covid-19 in the state capital.

The CM said that the extra attention is required in Lucknow in view of COVID-19. Asking to keep all Covid beds in Lucknow ready, he directed SGPGI, KGMU and RML Institute of Medical Sciences to use their full capacity in treating Covid patients. The private Covid hospitals in Lucknow should adhere to the norms and have all the facilities. He stressed the need to intensify the police patrolling.

The Chief Minister instructed to make all proper arrangements for the NEET exam in the state. Make sure that no examinee faces any hassle. The CM directed the Chief Veterinary Officer to inspect cow shelters regularly in their respective districts. He further directed the excise and police departments to take strict action against those who were involved in hooch tragedy of Meerut and Baghpat recently. He asked to take action under NSA, if deems necessary.
