UP Cop Tries To Intercept Cattle Thief Fleeing On A Speeding Bolero In Kaushambi, Mowed Down

Lucknow, January 29 (TNA) A constable of the Uttar Pradesh was killed when he was trying to intercept a gang of criminals, who were fleeing away after stealing some cattle in a Bolero in Kaushambi on Monday. The on-duty constable was hit by the high speed Bolero vehicle. After the collision, the injured constable was admitted for treatment, where the constable died during treatment. The police is searching for the accused through CCTV footage.

The incident took place at Patel intersection of Sarai Akil police station area, where on the information of cattle theft, the constable was putting up barricades to stop the miscreants riding a Bolero who were running away. The speeding Bolero car of the miscreants hit constable Avnish Dubey and ran away. He was referred to Prayagraj, where constable Avnish Dubey died during treatment. The deceased constable was from Ballia district.

On receiving information about the incident, all the officers and police including the SP reached the spot. On the orders of the SP, the police started investigation with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the area. A Bolero car is seen going at a high speed in the CCTV camera. Police has started searching for the accused with the help of CCTV.

In this case, SP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said that on the information of theft incident, the police team was checking suspicious vehicles in the police station Sarai Akil area in the morning on 29.01.24, during this time constable Avnish Dubey was hit by a Bolero car. He was hit and died tragically during treatment. In this regard, constable Avneesh Dubey was hit by a speeding Bolero vehicle, who was admitted to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj, where he died during treatment.
