UP Govt Inks MoU With Paytm To Improve Business And Trade Opportunities For MSMEs
Lucknow, June 3 (TNA) Navneet Sehgal, ACS, Department of MSME & Export promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh signed an MoU with One 97 Communication Ltd, the parent company of Paytm in the state capital on Friday. Paytm is India's leading payments app with more than 20 million merchants and businesses are powered by Paytm Accept Payments digitally.
The objective of MoU is to improve the business and trade opportunity for MSMEs of Uttar Pradesh with focus on ODOP MSMEs. The MoU is expected to digitalize MSMEs landscape in the state. The MoU aims at promoting digital payment and bookkeeping among state MSMEs.
The major thrust of the MoU is to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields such as digital payments, lending, and technology. The MoU seeks to strengthen digital payment and lending landscape in the MSME sector.
The department of MSME & Export promotion on its part will provide access to MSMES database to the company (One 97 Communication). Vijay Shekhar Sharma, CEO of One 97 Communication was also present on the occasion along with the delegation of the company.
