UP Lokayukta Recommends Probe Against IAS Suhas LY In a Matter Of Freehold In Prayagraj

Lucknow, August 10 (TNA) The Lokayukta has recommended a high-level inquiry against former DM and IAS officer Suhas LY in the matter of freeholding of Nazul's land in Prayagraj on the charges of misusing the position and taking decisions arbitrarily.

Suhas was posted as DM in Prayagraj in 2017. Mentioning this in the report of the year 2020, the Lokayukta has told the government that if Suhas LY is found guilty in the investigation, action should be taken against him as per the rules and informed to him within three months. Presently posted as Secretary Sports, Suhas was posted as DM in Prayagraj in 2017.

The complainant Abhishek Tandon had alleged against Suhas that even on the recommendation of former District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar, Suhas had not considered the free hold of Nazul's land after his posting.

The Lokayukta has said that Suhas LY's arbitrary decisions regarding Nazul plots 32C, 139 and 139B have caused mental distress to Tandon and the report sent by Suhas to the government by misusing his position should also be investigated.
