UP On Alert After Communal Violence In Delhi, Intelligence Agencies Step Up Vigil
Lucknow, April 17 (TNA) A state of high alert has been soudned in UP in the aftermath of the violence triggered after attack on the Hanuman Janmotsava in Jahangirpuri of Delhi. Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that an alert has been issued in the entire state regarding this.
The police officers have been instructed to exercise utmost vigilance in their respective areas and be constantly on the move. The intelligence agencies have also been asked to be on their toes.
A late evening incident where in stones were pelted on a procession of Hanuman ji’s Janmotsava, in Delhi left many injured. Several people, including policemen, were injured in the incident.
