UP Police Sets Up Cyber Financial Crime Helpline

Lucknow, August 3 (TNA) With cyber crimes, like elsewhere, shooting through the roof across the state, Uttar Pradesh Police has launched a financial crime helpline. Inaugurated by the DGP Mukul Goel, the helpline - 155260, comes as part of a dedicated call centre at the successful UP 112.

"Cyber Financial Frauds are exponentially rising day by day. I am glad to inform everyone that to tackle this menace we have prepared ourselves adequately & set up a dedicated call centre at UP 112 which has been integrated with the national #Cyber #FinancialCrime helpline 155260" the top cop said in a video.

In a major offensive against all cyber crimes, the state police is also launching a cyber crime awareness week which will be inaugurated by the UP DGP from the Agra zone on Tuesday. The police is already very active in curbing the menace of cyber bullying, cyber stalking of women, an official informed TNA.
