UP Power Employees Call off Strike After Assurance From Minister AK Sharma
Lucknow, April 3 (TNA) The ongoing powermen strike in Uttar Pradesh has been called off after a “positive assurance” from power minister AK Sharma. The striking power employees met the minister late on Saturday and held discussions on their long pending demands, which they said, have been ignored by the state government for long.
Sharma, assured to look into their demands and a take a serious view on resolving them. The UP Rajya Vidyut Abhiyanta Sangh and Rajya Vidyut Parishad Junior Engineers Sangathan, UP decided to end their ongoing stor, which was to further intensify from Monday with mass leave by more than 10,000 power engineers.
