UP Protecting Cultural Heritage Along With Industrial Development: Nandi
Lucknow, January 26 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh's commitment to both industrial development and the preservation of cultural heritage was highlighted by the state's Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI, and Investment Promotion Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi on Thursday.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo (UPITEX) organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the state capital. Nandi emphasised the state's progress on multiple fronts.
While underscoring Uttar Pradesh's strides in industrial development, Nandi also acknowledged the significance of safeguarding cultural heritage. He pointed out the global celebration of Diwali on January 22, showcasing India's rich cultural traditions. The minister highlighted the increased confidence of entrepreneurs in the state government, attributing it to improved infrastructure facilities and robust law and order.
He further stated that Uttar Pradesh has now become the top choice for investors, signalling a positive trajectory towards becoming the leading state. He inaugurated UPITEX and reflected on the state's accomplishments, mentioning the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in making Uttar Pradesh the best state between 2017 and 2022.
Drawing attention to major international events held in the state, including the International Trade Show, Moto GP, and Global Investors Summit, where MOUs worth over Rs. 40 lakh crore were signed, demonstrating the trust investors have in the state.
Addressing the law and order issue, the Industrial Development Minister asserted that the Chief Minister's focus on promoting industries, supporting MSMEs, and maintaining law and order has resulted in significant positive changes.
He slammed previous governments for their self-centred approach, contrasting it with the current administration's commitment to infrastructure development, such as airport expansions, expressways, and waterway connectivity.
