UP PWD To Have Realtime Portal By March 2023 To Monitor Condition Of Roads In The State
Lucknow, Nov 18 (TNA) Conditions of roads in Uttar Pradesh will soon be monitored online and realtime. The PWD minister Jitin Prasada has given a green signal to the ambitious project of a GIS portal named ’Srishti-2’. The portal which will be made at a cost of rs 6.3 crore offer the exact and present situation of any given road in the state at the click of a mouse, an official said.
When was the road repaired, relayed or special repairs conducted, all this would be available on this portal. The common public will also be able to click pictures of potholed or dilapidated roads and upload them on the departments GIS website ‘Srishti-2’ so that the officials concerned and even the minister himself are abreast of the latest situation.
The portal, officials said would cover around 3 lakh km of roads falling under the PWD ambit. The portal will be ready by March end next year and would be made public for a direct interface by April-2023. The portal will have a dashboard and it will also be keeping a record of feedback for the reason of informing the complainant of the action taken on his or her complaint.
