UP To Infuse Rs 10,547.42 Crore For Turnaround Of CHC-PHC Level Health Centres
Lucknow, June 20 (TNA) The State Government is engaged in equipping each district with medical facilities with 'One District One Medical College'. By the year 2022-2023, UP is on the way to create a new record in the medical field with facilities like lab, CHC, PHC rejuvenation, establishment of PICU NICU, health ATMs. The appearance of Community Health Centers (CHCs) in the state will also change soon.
With the strategy of the Yogi government, now it will be easier for the health department to overcome the shortage of staff, equipment for tests like X-ray, ultrasound and medicines. Under the National Health Mission in the state, the facilities of CHC-PHC level health centers will be increased with an amount of Rs 10,547.42 crore.
New CHCs, PHCs, sub-centers and health and wellness centers will also be opened in rural areas from the budget released under NHM. According to CMO Dr. Manoj Aggarwal, a plan has been made to improve health facilities in rural areas in the budget.
Under this, sub-centres will be opened for a population of 5 thousand, PHCs for more than 10 thousand population and CHCs for more than that. At the same time, keeping in mind the serious cases, there is a plan to open a 100-bed hospital.
