Prayagraj, February 5 (TNA) In the case related to the state border dispute in Bijnor of UP and Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, the Allahabad High Court has ordered the District Magistrates of Bijnor and Haridwar to demarcate the boundary. The High Court has ordered the deployment of SDMs to do the needful. In the presence of SDM, the revenue teams of both states will measure the border.

Allahabad High Court has ordered the demarcation to be done on January 23 at noon in the presence of petitioner Gurpreet Singh. The court said that after demarcation, pillars should also be installed if necessary. The order has been given to demarcate Himmatpur Bela village of Bijnor district. The division bench of Justice Soumitra Dayal Singh and Justice Manjeev Shukla has issued an order disposing of the petition of Gurpreet Singh.

Uttarakhand state authorities had initiated the process of action by accusing Gurpreet Singh of illegally occupying state government land. Gurpreet Singh claims that his land is in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh instead of Uttarakhand.
