Varanasi Airport Authorities File Defamation Case Against Congress Leader Ajay Rai

Varanasi, February 19 (TNA) A case of defamation has been filed by the Varanasi Airport authorities against Congress leader Ajay Rai for wrongful and misleading information.

This is with regards to a flight landing og former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who, as per Rai, was not allowed to land earlier last week at the Varanasi airport on February 13 because of which his engagements were forced to be cancelled.

Rai has been charged with not only giving wrong information but also spreading rumours and defaming the Airport. The case has been filed under non-bailable sections of the IPC. The case has been registered in the Phoolpur police station of Varanasi.
